In the first blockbuster move of the major league baseball offseason, 2007 NLCS MVP Matt Holliday (LF) will be traded from the Colorado Rockies to the Oakland A's for closer Huston Street, starter Greg Smith, and outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, pending physicals. Holliday may be the best left fielder in baseball, putting up absurb numbers the past three years. Holliday is under contract for only the 2009 season, which may mean he won't stay in Oakland very long. Greg Smith and Huston Street are the latest A's pitchers to be dealt, following the Rich Harden and Joe Blanton midseason deals from last year. Oakland may in the running to sign veterans Rafael Furcal (SS), Jason Giambi (1b/DH) and Johnny Damon (CF) this offseason as well. Here's a look at the potential 2009 lineup for Oakland:
C: Kurt Suzuki
1B: Daric Barton
2B: Mark Ellis
SS: Bobby Crosby
3B: Eric Chavez
LF: Matt Holliday
CF: Ryan Sweeney
RF: Travis Buck
DH: Jack Cust
